Reading Therapy

A Small Therapy Business

The client runs a small therapy business in Reading and required a website that would attract clients from the local area. A booking portal would be required where the users could choose from either in-person or online sessions, in packages at differing prices, and for different services. Being a business run from home, the client needed customers to not have the address until payment had been taken. A colour scheme and animation system was requested that would provide a relaxed tone and area for users to experience. Finally, a blog was requested that the client could update and edit moving forwards.

Our Web Design for the Client

We created a 12 page web design for the client that captured their services and their needs. A relaxed teal colour gave the site the requested tone. Images provided by us helped to break up the text but still allowed the site to convey its seriousness. We incorporated a booking portal and payment system then linked it to our clients accounts so that money would be transferred instantly. The client can access the backend of the booking portal to change their availability and add any sessions that are booked outside of the website. The blog page was added and uses dynamic data so that each page looks the same but the client only has to edit familiar areas without having to design each page.

The Booking Portal

We built into the site a booking portal that provided each of the client’s services at their various costs. Users can book on their laptops or phones and pay instantly. An email is then sent to both the client and the user to confirm a new appointment and payment is sent to the client’s account. The client has a access to the backend of the portal so that they can edit availability, create or cancel appointments, and book days off.

The Blog Page

A modern looking blog page was created that maintained the theme of the site but allowed the client to create, edit, and remove any posts they wished. It uses dynamic content to maintain a consistent design without the client needing to design each page. The blog is created by the client filling in a few simple forms and then published. It contains categories so that the user can search for relevant topics to the current article.
