A Walking Tour Guide of Oxford

Tours of Oxford reached out to us to give their site an up date. Their previous site, designed in house on Wix, had done their business brilliantly but it was time for a refresh with a high-end professional looking site. Tours of Oxford were keen that the beauties of the city should be on display on the site. Due to differing levels of staffing, they required a flexible booking portal that would allow them to add and remove tours and staff easily. The site would need a booking and payment portal to allow their customers to book, though with a time delay so that staff could be sourced – a 5 day cutoff was going to be needed for people booking tours.

Our Web Design for the Client

The difference…night and day. The site is designed around Oxford blue and the stunning architecture of Oxford. Links permeate the site to the tours that the company offers and lead a user easily to the booking portal. Here customers can book for user a defined number of people on a date of their choosing. However, they cannot book inside of 5 days so that the company can source their tour guide. We created contact forms so that potential customers can reach out to the company and a gallery where they can see all that Oxford has to offer.

Before

Before we were hired the Tour of Oxford website was created using Wix, this allowed them to get their foot in the door with a site online. Whilst a great start for a business, there is nothing that can sell a company quite as well as a professionally designed website. With a new look, they are now looking to gain substantially more customers.

Bespoke Tour Pages

Each tour that the company offers has a bespoke page that allows their potential customers to dive into what they will experience in Oxford. By engaging with the client, we were able to draw out the essence of their business and thereby present it in the best light. Whilst each page is bespoke, they are designed in such a way as to bring coherence throughout the site by giving the same tone and layout.
